Gran Fondo Giro, a melting pot of colours and languages

It was amazing to see more than 1500 bikes going up and down the climbs and the downhills of Friuli. It’s been almost two weeks, but we just can not forget the colors and the emotions felt on May 22 with the Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia ride through the streets painted in pink to celebrate  the passage of the pro riders on Friday, just two days before you daredevils who wanted to face the same challenge in a sunny Sunday.

You have arrived in Cividale from every corner of the world and, in addition to the many Italian cyclists, there were also very thick representatives of countries such as Britain, Poland, Slovenia and Brazil. Moreover, some participants even came from Australia and Canada.

Italy was well represented with many Friulian who did not want to miss the opportunity to ride on roads more or less known, but there has also been a tremendous response from Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia and Tuscany. RCS Sport is now waiting for you to join the Gran Fondo La Marmotte – Sestriere – Colle delle Finestre of July 24, another challenge to take with your bike, while waiting the Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia in 2017 to be unveiled.
